[So it's not much later that he shows up at the bar, not looking much different than before except for the lack of abject panic. He glances around, keeping an eye out for hat guy.

[He raises a hand in greeting as Wrench comes over. He's not hard to recognise at all, with the mask and everything.]

[And not being a horrible monstrosity. He heads over to the bar, where a half-empty glass of whiskey is already sitting.]

Never had the beer here. You'll have to tell me how it is.

Probably ain't even worth drinking if it's like most of these places. I'm pretty sure I can't even get drunk anymore, anyway. Corpse problems.

[He nods, downing what's left of his drink.]

Yeah. Friend of mine didn't know I could climb the wall he was perched on. How about you? Anyone else chase you after I did?

[Sucks, but what is he gonna do, go on a quest to get drunk again? He picks up the beer when he gets it, shrugging at the question.]

Yeah. A friend, gets super fucking massive in the fog, apparently. He looked like he was gonna kill me.

[He lifts his mask up just enough to fit the bottle under it and takes a sip.]

So I hit him with my sledgehammer.

[It's strange that he doesn't just take off the mask, but Boone doesn't comment on it. He does raise an eyebrow at the comment about the sledgehammer, though.]

[He sounds mostly amused, but still a little surprised.]

I'd ask if you hit him hard, but I don't think there's any way to do that gently. He okay?

He was gonna kill me! I mean, it sure as fuck seemed like he was gonna kill me. I had to fight back, right?

[He didn't fight back with Boone 'cause he didn't have his sledgehammer with him. Which turned out to be a good decision, terrifying as it was.]

He was fuckhuge, it wasn't a big deal. Probably only bruised him a little. He's okay, we're all good.

[Thank god Wrench didn't have that thing with him when Boone was chasing him. He doesn't want to test just how strong his bones are.]

Good to know. He probably wasn't gonna kill you, though. I mean, you thought I was gonna, but I wasn't.

[And if they're friends it makes it seem more unlikely. Then again he doesn't know the guy, so who knows what he was trying to do.]

[He gestures vaguely with his bottle before shoving it back under his mask.]

Hope so. I mean, I never hurt anyone, and most of the people I chased seemed to be having fun, so I guess there's no reason we wouldn't be. Did make a guy puke, though.

[He orders another whiskey with a slight smile.]

He knew he deserved it. He shot a garbage can at me so that I got it all over me. So I chased him down and rubbed it in his face.

Oh man, it's been, uh... like five or six months by now? And I'm barely any closer to getting the fuck out of here. At least I had time to get used to things... I guess.

Kinda wish we didn't have to get used to things here, but it looks like we're here for good. At least, we are until someone finds a way out.

[He frowns as he takes a drink from the new glass of whiskey handed to him. Will it ever be possible to leave? He knows people disappear, but that isn't the same as leaving.]

[He watches Wrench shove the bottle under his mask curiously, wondering if he should ask why he doesn't just take it off.]

[He's used to people looking at him weird, so if he notices anything about Boone watching him, he doesn't say.]

[Boone knows next to nothing about explosives; he doesn't touch them, really. He decides not to ask about the mask for now, shifting his attention back to his drink.]

I'm pretty good with computers, and smashing things, and the occasional smashing of computers.

Not much good with computers myself. I know how to talk to people on the laptops we've got, but not much else. Could probably smash one pretty good, though.
